REAL MADRID 1-1 MANCHESTER 1 (2-1 pens)
Mourinho: "I've nothing to gain by talking about Morata; I wish him good luck and happiness"
José Mourinho attended Spanish media following Sunday's win over Real Madrid and says there's no point in talking about what might have happened with Álvaro Morata.
José Mourinho answered questions from the media after Sunday's International Champions Cup clash between Manchester United and Real Madrid - including one about Álvaro Morata's move to Chelsea. United had hoped to bring in the Spanish centre-forward this summer but disagreed on the asking price. Mourinho says that as far as he is concerned, the issue is closed but he wishes Morata well.
Morata is water under the bridge for United, says Mourinho
"“It might be interesting for you [the Spanish press], because your job is to write about matters relating to Real Madrid but for me, I’ve nothing to gain by talking about this issue now. Álvaro is with Chelsea. It was his decision. What else can I say? I wish him the best of luck and I wish him happiness. There’s no point in me talking in about what has happened and what might have happened”, Mourinho explained in the Levi's Stadium press room after the game.
