Jesé scuppers Fiorentina loan deal as he'd rather join Stoke

PSG and the Italian club were finalizing a two-year loan deal with Fiorentina obliged to buy him in 2019 but Jesé would rather play in the Premier League.

Jesé Rodríguez wants to play in the Premier League next season and that is why he has halted talks between PSG and Fiorentina - where he seemed to be heading this summer. According to Italian daily La Nazione, the Spanish winger was elected as the replacement for Federico Bernardeschi, who recently joined Juventus for 40 million euros

PSG and Fiorentina strike loan deal for Jesé

Fiorentina reached an initial agreement with PSG to take Jesé on a two-season loan, during which time they would pay a part of the player's 7 million euro salary, and would be obliged to buy him outright ahead of the 2019/20 season. 

Jesé keen on playing in the Premier League

But Jesé prefers to further his career in England and his plan is to sign for Stoke City after spending the second half of last season on loan at Las Palmas, where h scored three goals in 16 appearances. Fiorentina meanwhile have turned their attention to bolstering their attack with Giovanni Simeone, the son of Atlético coach Diego.
