Neymar with some difficuly learning French and uses Marquinhos as a teacher
The Brazilian has been working his way up slowly but surely and needed help from his compatriot to ask for an orange juice while Dani Alves is adapting slightly better.
PSG and Brazil defender Marquinhos confessed that he has been moonlighting as a centre-half and a French teacher for Neymar following his compatriots €222 million move to the French capital this summer.
"Ney' has had some difficulty (with the language), but he tries to ask me how to say things, like, how to ask for an orange juice in a restaraunt," said Marquinhos ahead of PSG's game against Lyon at the weekend.
He also explained how Alves has improved his French so quickly, "Dani has played with a lot of French players before, and he knows some words and understands it very well," said the defender who has had plenty of training in the foreign tongue given he has played there since 2013 when he moved from Roma.
They have adapted "very well", however, according to Marquinhos because they are two players operating at a very high level.
Forced to adapt to a new attack, Marquinhos can't believe how well Cavani and Mbappé have gotten used to playing alongside each other in what is being taken seriously as one of the best attacks in Europe and the world but says their is still room for improvement.
"It was incredible to see their understanding in their first game they played (1-5 against Metz), however there are still some reactions and movements that they have to understand in each other," said the 23-year-old.
