Ferran Torres is the name on the lips of a number of Europe's top clubs - including Real Madrid and Barcelona, who see him as 'the new Marco Asensio'. The 17-year-old, who is making waves in the Segunda Division B with Valencia's reserves, is under contract until 2019 and his buy-out is set at 8 million euros. Real Madrid have been monitoring his progress for some time and the teenager even made a couple of visits to the club's training complex in Valdebebas last season. Barça meanwhile, have been following him a number of seasons. But they aren't the only clubs who have taken notice of the promising young winger - scouts from several English and German clubs have also enquired about the Ferran's situation.

He's seen as the great white hope at Valencia, his hometown club which he joined when he was only six years old. He was part of the Spain squad which won the Under-17 European Championships in May and nexrt month he will be leading La Rojita's charge at the U17 World Cup in India.

Barça lost out to Madrid with Asensio and don't want the same thing to happen with Ferran. The madridistas meanwhile, have Ferran lined up after securing Brazilian promise Vinicius Jr, who will be facing Spain's U17s in the opening game at the U17 World Cup in Kochi next week. At the moment, both clubs are only following his progress but before too long Madrid and Barça could be involved in another bidding war for one of the great promises of Spanish football…
