Thiago ruled out of Israel game
The Bayern midfielder picked up an ankle ligament injury and will stay behind for La Roja's trip to Jerusalem
Ankle injury
Thiago Alcántara will not travel with the Spain squad to face Israel on Monday (20:45, CEST). The Bayern midfielder underwent tests on Sunday morning after picking up an ankle ligament injury in La Roja's 3-0 win over Albania on Saturday.
Absentees
Thiago nodded home Spain's third goal to cap an impressive win and direct qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. However, the midfielder also joins Gerard Piqué and David Silva on Spain's absentee list after both picked up a booking and subsequent one-match suspension. Therefore, Julen Lopetegui will travel to Isreal with a 22-man squad.
