PSG in talks with Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho - reports
According to 'Telefoot', PSG's Director of Sport was spotted with Countinho's agent in London. Neymar has a key role in the negotiations.
During the past few days it seems the Philippe Coutinho soap opera has been reactivated with several Catalan newspapers claiming that Barcelona will make another stab at signing the Liverpool player in the winter transfer window. In Catalunya, there is talk of a 150 million euro offer being prepared - even though Liverpool fobbed off every attempt at signing the Brazilian midfielder over the summer.
PSG to swoop for Coutinho in June
And now Paris Saint-Germain appear to have joined the chase for the player. According toTelefoot, PSG's Director of Sport Antero Henrique was spotted with Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian in London to discuss the possibility of the Liverpool player joining next summer.
PSG believe that there is no chance of Coutinho leaving Anfield in the January window and it will be either before or after next summer's World Cup finals when they will tempt the player with a succulent offer. In PSG's favour is that Neymar, a close friend of Coutinho and Brazil team mate, can play a key role in negotiations. The French side would need to better the 138 million euro offer which Barcelona tabled - and had rejected, a few months ago.
