Real Betis linked with a January move for Jack Wilshere
A deal that was touted in the summer never happened but Real Betis are reportedly linked with a move for Jack Wilshere in the winter transfer market.
The Daily Mirror have linked Jack Wilshere with a move to Spain in the winter transfer window. The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Real Betis during the summer, which never materialised, but the Adnalusian club are reportedly in again for the midfielder with the World Cup coming in June and a necessity to play and be noticed taking precedence for Wilshere.
Wilshere has had a horrible time with injuries since becoming the youngest player to debut for Arsenal at 16 years and 256 days. The energetic midfielder has played just 658 minutes this season, mostly in the Europa League, with just two appearences in the Premier League to his name.
The reality is that Real Betis have a host of midfielders in a similar mould to Wilshere in Guardado, Camarasa, Fabián and Boudebouz but Wilshere would definitely add something different than the four mentioned. Javi Garcia is the only true defensive midfielder and Quique Setien might make use of Wilshere if a loan deal was to happen.
