REAL MADRID

Neymar's father: "Real Madrid? Not now, but in 5 years' time…"

The Brazilian ace's father and agent denied that his son will be leaving PSG but said that anything could happen in a few years from now.

Neymar continues to command a Paris Saint-Germain side who are thriving in what is turning out to be an excellent season in terms of results and the style of football they're playing. They are nine points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table and have already booked their place in the Champions League knockout stage as leaders of their group with one MatchDay left to play.

The Brazilian left Barcelona over the summer to become a leader of an exciting project and everything seems to be going along well, in spite of talk of spats with Cavani and Emery, which he himself has denied on several occasions.

Neymar to remain in Europe for the next few years, says father

And now Neymar's father has spoken about the rumours linking his son to Real Madrid, declaring that such a move isn't on the cards at present, but could be in the not too distant future. “Things change. Today, a move to Madrid is not on our minds and by me answering that question, I would be fuelling something which is impossible. I can't speak about negotiations with clubs from now to five or six years' time. He has a lengthy contract with PSG and he's only just arrived. He's only been here three months and people are already talking about him leaving. It's difficult to respond to those kinds of comments”, Neymar's father told Fox Sports.

Neymar made it clear that he doesn't want to hear anything about a possible interest from Real Madrid and stormed out of the Mixed Zone following the recent 7-1 win over Celtic in the Champions League. “For f**k's sake, have you got nothing else to talk about?”, he ranted before walking off.

Neymar not thinking of going home to Brazil

If joining Real Madrid is complicated, it would be an even more difficult task for Neymar to return to the Brazilian game, although if given the choice, he would like to play for Flamengo one day in the future. “Neymar can't see himself leaving Europe for another eight years. Our job is to keep Neymar in a place which he has dreamed about - his dream was to come to Europe. For that reason, I can't see Neymar going back home. Maybe in a few years he could go to Palmeiras, Flamengo or Santos. But right now, that is just speculation”.

Neymar's father is currently in Brazil negotiating Lucas Lima's move to Palmerias. The midfielder has been granted permission from Santos to hold talks with their neighbours and Neymar Senior is in charge of closing the deal after being involved in the operation to take Róbson to the club.
