AC Milan did not react when Mino Raiola – the agent of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarummawarned about the possibility of cancelling his client’s contract due to ‘ethical abuse’.

Donnarruma incurs wrath of AC Milan fans

The club maintained their composure until Wednesday evening. During a cup match against Verona, Milan supporters showed their discontent towards the 18-year-old ‘keeper.

Six million a year and a wage for your parasite brother is moral violence? Get out now, our patience has run out,” read a banner in the stands at San Siro.

At the end of the match, Massimiliano Mirabelli – the sporting director at Milan – faced the media in an attempt to calm the situation, and call out the provocateur.

Gigio [Donnarumma] has never expressed a desire to leave Milan. There is no doubt that there is someone inventing things on purpose, but we will protect the club,” he said, with an implicit reference to Mino Raiola.

“There is no meeting scheduled with Raiola. Donnarumma has a contract until 2021 and there’s nothing more to talk about,” Mirabelli added.

Mirabelli's patience being tested

Mirabelli admitted that “at the beginning I found this funny, but now the situation is serious.”
Milan would only consider allowing Donnarumma to leave the club if the player himself requests such action to be taken.

“He will have to come to us and request it, and then the sale would take place under our conditions,” insisted Mirabelli, “there is someone who is causing damage to our image and to our club.”
