Philippe Coutinho remained in the Catalan capital being cup-tied as his Barcelona side snatched a late draw in the Champions Legue clash at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in London.

The Brazilian had a Monday he will be anxious to forget for some time with a double whammy of bad luck for the player.

I Don't like Mondays

On Monday evening he took a group of friends into the centre of the city to visit the iconic Sagrada Familia basilica and parked his Audi Q7 in a area reserved for corporate vehicles to load and unload their product. His car was towed away by a city traffic control two-truck.

Upon returning to his new house located on the outskirts of the Catalan capital, the player realised that his house had been broken into by thieves.

Coutinho lives in Bellemar, an exclusive zone in Castelldefels where his neighbours are Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, (it was actually the Uruguayan striker who found the house for his new team-mate).

Catalan daily Sport report that the player quickly contacted the local Mossos d'Esquadra police force who were soon on the scene to examine his dwelling in the search for clues in discovering the perpetrators.

No details have been released as to what was stolen from the midfielders house but apparently renovation work on a connecting stairway ensured an easy access for the thieves.
