Urbnsurf Melbourne: 1000 two metre high waves an hour

Construction is underway of the first public surf pool in Australia using Wavegarden Cove, a Basque technology which can unleash 1,000 two metre high waves an hour.

The first artificial surf pool in Australia, Urbnsurf Melbourne, is now under construction, with its opening expected for Easter 2019, close to Melbourne Airport. 

It will also be the first public pool with artificial waves created using Wavegarden Cove, a Basque-developed technology which can produce 1,000 two metre high waves an hour, so surf lovers can surf all day... and all night, under LEDs.

Urbnsurf is being built on a 2.1 hectare site and can host 84 surfers at a time, divided into six different zones. Here's their teaser ad:
