Diego Costa makes Atlético squad list for Arsenal game
Diego Simeone was able to include Diego Costa in his squad list for Atlético Madrid's trip to London to play Arsenal at the Emirates on Thursday night.
Atlético Madrid have released the list of players that will travel to London to play Arsenal in the Europa League semi-final on Thursday night. The 20-man list includes Diego Costa as the striker looks to have overcome a hamstring injury.
Diego Simeone has been in short supply of good news recently with several injuries to players all over the field. Costa's recovery from the muscle injury that he suffered in the second leg of their quarter-final against Sporting Club de Portugal was quicker than expected. Cholo rested Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro in the game at the Wanda on Sunday against Real Betis with an eye on keeping the pair fresh for Thursday.
Along with Costa, Simeone has added three players from Atlético Madrid B including Alejandro Dos Santos, Sergi Gonzalez and Roberto Olabe. Atlético Madrid squad list: Oblak, Werner, Dos Santos, Vrsaljko, Giménez, Savic, Godín, Lucas, Sergi, Thomas, Gabi, Saúl, Olabe, Koke, Vitolo, Correa, Griezmann, Gameiro, Torres, Diego Costa.
