Luis Enrique took to the field at Las Rozas, where the Spanish Football Federation call their home, for the first time as the manager of Spain after naming his 24-man squad last week. He directed his first training session on Monday night with England and Spain on the horizon.

Raúl Albiol did not train after taking a knock. Meanwhile, there were four goalkeepers at the sessions with David De Gea, Kepa, Pau López and Sevillista and under-21 keeper, Juan Soriano in attendance.

The internationals who played on Saturday with their club teams worked on pressing. The rest, did a long, steady run in an effort to recover from their games on Sunday. Luis Enrique had a team of 13 including himself along with assistants, medical staff and a psychologist as he embarks on a new adventure.
