Higuaín handed two game ban for red in Juventus game
The Lega Serie A disciplinary committee confirmed the sanction the Argentinian striker will undergo for his meltdown at San Siro on Sunday.
As was anticipated Gonzalo Higuaín's meltdown during the AC Milan-Juventus game at Sunday night has cost the striker dear.
The Argentinean forward was hit with a two game ban by the Lega Serie A committee stating: “The players' conduct showed a great lack of respect towards the referee, displaying threatening behaviour having being earlier sanctioned. His over-theatrical behavior when leaving the pitch was also deemed as unacceptable".
The former Real Madrid and Juve striker screamed at the match official, "you always book me" and then proceeded to lose the plot pushing his own players along with any player who got in his way. Cristiano Ronaldo later publicly defended Huguain and the striker himself appealed for forgiveness when speaking to the media: "I'm sorry for how I acted but match officials should realise we're not robots".
The Argentinean forward will miss the forthcoming Serie A games for the "Rossoneiri" when they face Lazio and Parma.
