The South American U-20 Championship is a showcase for young talent as the major European clubs hover around to scout the next star. Winger Pedro de la Vega is one such player.

Lanús

The Lanús winger made his debut last year at the age of 17 - and the youngest member of the Argentina squad - and in 2017 won the AFA Award for player of the year in Argentina. Despite his tender age, he is one of Argentina's key players and his performances have come to the attention of Real Madrid - according to Cadena Ser Los Blancos are interested in signing the youngster as a future investment.

Interest

Lanús president Nicolás Russo is aware of the interest by some of Europe's top clubs and told El Mundo F.C., "Many clubs, even some of the biggest ones in the world, have enquired about De La Vega, for instance Juventus, Inter and a few others. However, that doesn't mean there has been a firm proposal or offer. "
