COPA | REAL MADRID - BARCELONA
Resident ref: "Possible offside from Dembélé in the second goal"
Barcelona's French forward set up the second goal at the Bernabéu, with Varane scoring an own goal under pressure from Suárez.
Iturralde González, our resident referee, considered that there was a possible offside from Barcelona's Dembélé in the build-up to Barça's second goal at the Bernabéu this eveing in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Real Madrid. "There could have been offside there", commented Iturralde.
Dembélé ran through down the right, with no offside called, and crossed looking for Suárez at the back post. Real Madrid defender Varane ended up bundling the ball into his own net in a bid to prevent the Uruguayan getting to it, making it 0-2 to the visitors at that point. Freeze frame images of the move were inconclusive and the VAR did not intervene.
