Isco: "This is my opportunity"

With Solari’s departure and the arrival of Zidane, Isco will feel he has a chance to reignite his Madrid career after a difficult few months under the Argentine coach.

Although it was accompanying a marketing video for his sponsor Adidas, Isco’s latest Instagram post gives some clues about his feelings surrounding the change of coach at Real Madrid, where he now believes he has an opportunity to return to the fold under Zinedine Zidane.

After being a regular starter earlier in the season for Julen Lopetegui, Isco was completely taken out of the picture under Santiago Solari, who had consigned him to the bench. But with Solari’s departure and the arrival of Zidane, Isco feels he has a chance to reignite his Madrid career after a difficult few months under the Argentine coach that had prompted talks of his summer exit from the Bernabéu.

"They'll tell you that football is unpredictable, that success is beyond your control, this is my opportunity and I'm going to take it with Adidas,” said the Spanish midfielder, presumably, speaking about his current situation at Real Madrid.

While Isco was never an indisputable starter for Zidane during French coach’s first tenure, Isco will feel he will at least have a chance to compete on equal terms with his team mates for a starting place – something he seemingly did not have with Solari after their relationship had reportedly broken down.
