The row between Isco and Solari led to consequences beyond Real Madrid. Luis Enrique has left the malagueño out of his 23-man list to play Norway and Malta in the upcoming international games. The national team manager has always called Isco when fit but that changed on Friday when Luis Enrique named Dani Parejo and Sergio Canales in midfield along with Jaime Mata in attack.

He was left out of the games against Wales and England in October while recovering from appendicitis but, when fit, he is central to the Spanish national team. The ongoing feud with Solari has eventually taken its toll.

Isco has only played 478 minutes since the last international break. Luis Enrique said "I'm not worried about any situation and even less when there are three months to the next squad" back in December but it seems Isco's lack of action has led his absence.

Taking to Instagram, Isco says he is going to fight for his chance. This could be pointing towards the Real Madrid situation too. They welcomed back Zinedine Zidane to the bench and Isco says it is good news for everybody. His minutes should increase under the new manager and he could be in the next national squad once his form and fitness return.
