Toni Kroos: "What's happened to us this season is normal"
"It's true that this season, things haven't gone as well as we would have liked. Now, all we can do is continue working hard", Kroos said from the Germany camp.
It may be turning out to be a poor season by Real Madrid's standards but Toni Kroos assures that what Los Blancos are going through "is absolutely normal". Out of the Champions League, the Copa del Rey and without a hope of clinching the league title this year when we are still only in March, Madrid would be usually competing in at least one competition at this stage but Kroos isn't too perturbed: "It's true that this season, things haven't gone as well as we would have liked but, after three incredible seasons, it's normal to go through what we are going through at the moment. Now, all we can do is continue working hard so we can return to win again next season", the player said from the Germany camp today.
Germany get EURO 2020 campaign underway
Joachim Löw's team will be in action again tomorrow, taking on Holland in Amsterdam - their first match in Group C following on from last week's 1-1 friendly draw against Serbia.
