Mateu Lahoz to oversee Liverpool-FC Porto UCL tie
The Spanish match official has been selected by UEFA to oversee the Anfield tie with Dutch referee Kuipers on duty for the Spurs-City tie.
Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz has been nominated by UEFA to oversee Tuesday night's Anfield clash as Liverpool face FC Porto (21:00 CEST start) in the first leg of the 2018/19 Champions League quarter-finals.
The Valencia born whistler has already overseen the English side this season in the competition as Klopp's men fell 2-0 to Red Star in Belgrade in the group stage. He was also in charge in last season's controversial tie in the competition as Klopp's men eliminated Manchester City in a game which saw Pep Guardiola sent off by the Spaniard.
Mateu Lahoz has overseen two games involving the Portuguese opposition: in the 2017-18 group stage as they drew 1-1 with Besiktas and in a 2015 win over Chelsea (2-1).
Spurs-City
Dutch referee Björn Kuipers will oversee the other tie of the night in the all-English clash as Tottenham stage the first European tie at their newly revamped ground in North London with the tie also starting at 21:00 CEST.
