Bale's agent insists that he is "not thinking about return to England"
Jonathan Barnett, Gareth Bale's agent, spoke to Deported Cuatro and said his client is not thinking about a return to England despite rumours of a transfer.
Jonathan Barnett, Gareth Bale's agent, spoke to Deportes Cuatro at the door of a hotel in Madrid's city centre and said his client is very happy at Real Madrid and is not thinking about a return to England.
The player's agent met with Real Madrid's directors in an effort to figure out where the Welshman's place at the club was. The same meeting was said to have been cordial with Real Madrid projecting the message of calm as they wait until the end of the season to properly appraise the entire squad. They could end up selling players to the tune of €500 million in the summer with Bale on the potential list of departees.
No return to England for Bale...for now
"He is very happy here," Barnett said. "He is a Real Madrid player and right now he is not thinking about a return to England."
Barnett has insisted that his player wasn't going anywhere despite whistles from fans in recent weeks. He seems to have softened his stance, however.
"I can't predict the future," he said when asked if Bale would be at the club next season. "But for now he is happy."
Zinedine Zidane has been slightly less enthusiastic about Bale's future at Madrid saying "we'll see" whenever asked about the situation.
