Landon Donovan and Jermaine Jones will suit up again for the United States to face Mexico in a friendly match that will take place in Ontario, California at Citizens Business Bank Arena on May 31, 2019, although this time at indoor soccer.

Ontario Fury was in charge of realising the news through its social networks for the game  that will bring back together two of the USMNT legends, something that is possible after both joined the MASL last season, with Jones signing up on March 12, and in his first campaign with the Fury he has already bagged 10 goals providing four assists.

Landon Donovan joined the indoor league early this year, becoming an essential piece for a San Diego Sockers, squad that reached the conference final, however, they lost against Monterrey Flash and failed to go all the way into the MASL final. Donovan had a total of eight goals and 11 assists in his first season with San Diego.

Donovan had already announced his intention to keep playing with the Sockers, but he also said not knowing what the future will bring, or if the San Diego team will count with him or if it could affect his other projects.

Friendly against Mexico

At present, only the presence of the two American legends has been confirmed with the full squad list for both the US and Mexican teams set to be published in the coming days.
