Hazard poses with Real Madrid shirt in Marbella
The Chelsea star has been snapped in Marbella holding a Real Madrid shirt while posing for a photo with a delighted fan.
Eden Hazard is in Spain… although not yet in the Spanish capital to be presented as Florentino Perez’s first Galactico signing since Gareth Bale.
After helping Chelsea to the Europa League title on Wednesday in Baku, the Belgian footballer is in glitzy Marbella in Southern Spain enjoying some R&R.
Hazard disguised himself with sunglasses and a baseball cap while enjoying a trip to the beach. But one alert Madrid fan recognized the 28-year-old superstar and proceeded to ask him for an autograph and picture, managing to coerce the footballer into a pose similar to one he will take at his imminent unveiling at the Santiago Bernabéu.
In a photo taken by a passerby, the Belgian striker is seen smiling and appears to gladly clutch a Real Madrid jersey with the delighted fan. It wasn’t long before the snap, originally published by the Daily Mirror, was doing the rounds on social media, where it has naturally caused a stir.
Hazard’s Madrid unveiling delayed as Chelsea play hardball
As reported by AS earlier this week, Real Madrid were planning to wrap up an agreement with Chelsea on Thursday and were confident they would be in a position to present Hazard at the Bernabéu on Monday.
But as we understand, Chelsea are playing hardball in the negotiations, and as such the clubs are yet to reach a final agreement, making his Monday unveiling unlikely.
Hazard will soon leave Marbella for his next destination, which will likely either be Madrid to put pen to paper, or Belgium to meet up with his national team mates ahead of the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Belgium.
