REAL MADRID

Eriksen admits he wants Real Madrid to make their move

"It needs Real Madrid to call Tottenham and say they want Christian. They haven't done it yet, as far as I know. It's difficult," Eriksen told Ekstra Bladet.

Christian Eriksen has admitted that he wants to leave Tottenham to play for Real Madrid and is keen for a move to be pushed through sooner rather than later.

A new challenge

The Spurs playmaker has been coy about his future in recent months, but has not renewed his contract, which ends in 2020, with the beaten Champions League finalists. However, on Wednesday the Dane admitted that he is looking for a new challenge: "I feel I'm at a stage in my career when I want to try something new. I have the deepest respect for everything that has happened at Tottenham, but I've also said I'd like to try something new," he told Ekstra Bladet

A call and a contract

After six years at the Premier League club, Eriksen has admitted he'd like to play for Zidane's side: "It needs Real Madrid to call Tottenham and say they want Christian," Eriksen said. "They haven't done it yet, as far as I know. It's difficult". Eriksen went on to talk about his contract: "It depends on the possibilities. If there aren't any more interesting offers, why wouldn't I stay at Tottenham? If I sign a new contract, it will depend on the conditions," he said.

Levy

Eriksen is also aware that Daniel Levy is a key part of his future : "It depends on Daniel Levy, and the other club has to come in. Or I'l have to sit down and negotiate a new contract. You can't set up a meeting by yourself". Real Madrid are no strangers to negotiating with the implacable Levy after squeezing through deals for Modric in 2012 and Gareth Bale in 2013
