EURO 2020
Zinchenko plants kiss on Ukrainian reporter
Ukraine and Manchester City player Oleksandr Zinchenko celebrated his county's 5-0 win over Serbia by planting a kiss on reporter Vlada Sedan.
Well it turns out it was more of a 'sweet' Iker Casillas moment than a 'creepy' Kubrat Pulev moment.
Ukraine and Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko has been trending on social media after he was recorded kissing a Ukrainian reporter live on TV.
The 22-year-old full back played in an instrumental role in Ukraine's 5-0 win over Serbia in a Euro 2020 qualifier on Friday. And at end of his post-match interview, a clearly ecstatic Zinchenko felt compelled to kiss reporter Vlada Sedan on the cheek before walking away.
Following the outrage after heavyweight boxer Kubrat Pulev grabbed and forcefully kissed reporter Jenny SuShe in March, there has naturally been a backlash about Zinchenko's behaviour on social media, with many calling it sexual harassment.
However, it turns out the Zinchenko and Sedan are best friends, which puts the incident more in line with that of Iker Casillas, who famously kissed reporter and partner Sara Carbonero live on TV in a post-match interview after the World Cup final in 2010.
