Keylor Navas outlines his conditions to leave Real Madrid
The Costa Rican international wants to leave on a free transfer and bank the remaining two years outstanding on his current deal.
Zinedine Zidane's return to the coaching position at Real Madrid has signalled the end of time for Keylor Navas at the Santiago Bernabéu. The French coach informed the Costa Rican goalkeeper that Courtois will be the club's number one stopper next season and suggested strongly that the player look for a new club. Keylor has informed that the club that his intention is to abandon the Chamartin outfit but wants Madrid to pay up the final two years of his current deal which runs through to 2021, a move which the LaLiga side seem unwilling to entertain at this juncture.
Demands
Keylor has also made it clear to would be suitors that he wants a three year deal, an annual salary of 7 million euro per campaign (two more than his current package with Real Madrid) and guaranteed playing time. Offers from Portugal have been cast aside by the Costa Rican with PSG, at present the only club twilling to satisfy the player's demands. Both parties have reached a heads of agreement and now need to sit down and close the negotiation process with Real Madrid.
PSG are happy to mee the conditions but only if Madrid release the Costa Rican stopper on a free transfer which at present would be a major stumbling block for the Bernabéu directors. Real Madrid would be reluctant to see a direct rival in next season's Champions League bolster a key position with the Parisian side looking to replace Gianluigi Buffon who departed the Ligue 1 side last week. At present Madrid's position is unwavering and would even contemplate keeping Keylor at the club if he remains inflexible with his current demands
