Independence Day: MLS launch 4th of July celebration jersey
The MLS teams have sent celebration messages for Independence day, as well as wearing a commemorative shirt with the colors of the American flag.
United States is big on celebrations, and on the 4th of July, America celebrates America, the joy of being American, and of course, the Declaration of Independence of the United States, where the Continental Congress declared that the thirteen colonies were to be a united and free country.
Independence Day is celebrated in style, and as such, the MLS decided to join in the fun by launching a t-shirt with hints of the American flag. There were also numerous messages sent through social media from several of the MLS teams.
Commemorative shirt
The MLS teams launched a commemorative shirt that bears the colors of the national flag, which they named 'Americana' and that all MLS teams wore before their respective games. This shirt can be found at the official MLS store for a cost of $59.99.
Independence Games
Thursday 4 July 2019 sees the MLS continue with three encounters, which are part of the Independence Day celebrations. FC Dallas face D.C. United, Colorado Rapids play New England, and LA Galaxy are up against Toronto FC.
