Spot-kick King saves Norway from defeat against Spain
Norway vs Spain: as it happened!
FULL-TIME! Not quite the last kick but King earns a point for Norway with a very late penalty. Fully deserved too. Saul had given Spain the lead in the second half with a strike from outside the penalty area.
Kepa absolutely cleans Elabdellaoui out of it. Into injury time and we have a penalty. King to take.
Spain finally get the ball forward for a spell. But Norway short-circuit their plans. The home side attacking in waves!
We have four minutes of added time.
Nice counter by Spain. Fabian picks it up and drives it wide off the post.
Inigo Martinez on for Spain. Bernat makes way. Moreno beefs up his defense.
Backs to the wall stuff here for Spain. They're going to go through the wall if they keep retreating.
Odegaard out to take a corner and tells the fans to raise the noise. They've been doing a pretty impressive job so far.
Albiol to the rescue again as he clears a low cross from the left. Throw for Norway.
Fabian booked now. He clatters into Aleesami. The two get into it after too with the referee forced to tell them to calm down.
It was hand ball and the ref played advantage. Ramos handled it and got booked for it too.
King gets muscled out by Albiol. He wants a penalty for use of the arm. The referee waves it away.
Mistake by Ramos and King pounces. He gets a step on Albiol but he is still under pressure and drives the ball over the bar.
Rodri comes on for Oyarzabal.
Norway improving again but every second that ticks by, they are getting more desperate. Sloppier passing, more rushed and that might create an opportunity for Spain on the counter.
King with the ball on the counter. Albiol arrives with a perfectly-times challenge.
Ball out to the left now and Selnaes gets it. He shoots, or at least that's what it looked like, and Kepa grabs it. Tight angle for a shot. He might have just been driving it across goal.
Norway really pushing for it now. Cross in from the right, headed down at the front post and it falls to Selnaes. Corner!
Reall open game now. Norway with a couple of attacks but now Spain race forward with men in support.
Cazorla comes in off the left and gets the ball. He strikes but Jarstein grabs it.
Back into action now as Fabian bends one onto the post. So close to being the second from distance for Spain.
Johansen off for Soerloth.
A couple of changes now. Cazorla the first one on for Spain. Ceballos coming off.
Busquets catches Selnaes as Norway move forward. He gets booked for that one too as ref believed it was on the counter and quite cynical. And late.
Not a bad corner at all. It's glanced on at the front post and cleared by Norway. They counter and King is fouled by Raul Albiol.
Ball over the top to Bernat and he wins a corner for himself.
Spain pushing for a second. That goal has taken the sting our of Norway's growing challenge.
Ceballos out to Navas and he sends it across the field again. Balls gets back to Saul and he strikes. Not as good as that earlier one. A mile wide.
Odegaard spins Ramos and he hauls him down. Free for the Norweigan as Ramos has a little smile to himself. Odegaard not interested in any joking around as he tries to get his country back into this game.
Straight away and Norway back on the move. Corner headed wide of the post. Not far off at all.
Bernat scuttles forward and sends the ball into the box. Two Spain players in the general vicinity. Neither of them able to get a touch. Saul with a lovely touch on his left and slams home with his right. Jarstein could have done better there, it looks like. Saul doesn't care.
We are back underway for the second half in Oslo.
HALF-TIME! Spain dominated the early going but Norway clawed their way back into it and look the better side since. Still 0-0 though.
Corner for Norway and Ajer heads it wide.
More hassle for Spain to deal with and Odegaard sniffing around again. He plays it out to the left of the penalty area and Navas clears.
Referee comes back to sort out some unfinished business from earlier. King with a late on on Saul and he gets a booking.
Another cross for Navas. Blocked again.
Corner into the front post. Saul meets it first but Rodrigo was waiting behind him and might have had a better chance to get it on target. Alas, we will never know. Flies high and wide of Saul's noggin.
Fabian with a strike. Takes a deflection off a Norweigan player and Spain win the corner.
Ball clipped into the back post and Bernat completely misjudges the flight of it. Elabdellaoui takes it down but doesn't hit it quickly enough. Chance is gone and he has to suffice for a tame effort into Kepa's hands.
All gets a little too tight for Norway as the ball is played to Odegaard and they lose it. Oyarzabal tries to run forward and he loses it.
Rodrigo gets a yellow for himself. He comes right down on Ajer's heel. First of the game.
Kepa on the ball. And out to Ramos. Odegaard pressures him but Ramos clears and Spain attack. Spain not really having much luck in attack. Every move is breaking down without them really getting the chance to trouble Norway's defense.
Rodrigo offside from the resulting free.
Johansen fouls Navas. Spain broke and were forced back. As the Sevilla full-back brought it back, the Norweigan captain caught him.
It is Nordtveit and he can't continue. He is replaced by Hovland.
We have a player on the ground and it looks like he can't continue. Looks like Nordveit, who is strill struggling from an earlier knock.
King strikes and it's blocked by Ramos. Corner!
But Norway improving as the half wears on.
Ball pops out to Odegaard at the edge of the box. He twists, he turns. And Fabian gets a toe on the ball to get it away from him.
Navas with another cross. It's blocked this time and out for a corner.
Navas cross again. Saul with a shot, blocked, and he hits it again but it is saved by Jarstein.
Lovely rabona from Elabdellaoui. Perfect cross onto the head of King heads down into Kepa's waiting arms. Nice chance as Norway continue to look dangerous going forward.
Busquets lets the ball run when he shouldn't. Norway win it back and attack. Odegaard trying to manufacture something.
Norway try to mount a counter but Raul Albiol steals in ahead of King and sends it back to Kepa. Spain start again. They have cooled off since their start but still the better side so far. And looking more dangerous.
Rodrigo was closest to it for Spain but couldn't turn it home.
How did Spain not score. Navas sends it across goal and nobody gets anything on it. Went through a sea of legs and does take a nick off a Norway player but referee didn't see it.
Odegaard faced up against Fabian and can't go around him so passes sideways. Norway holding the ball now during a promising spell.
Jesus Navas with a cross deep to the back post. Chested down to Jarstein.
Saul threads one through to Oyarzabal and he is clattered. No free but Spain win it back and continue to poke and pry.
Busquets spins Odegaard and plays to Ceballos. He tries an ambitious one to Bernat but it's out for a throw.
Some jitters from Spain there as King hit the deck. He was backing into Ramos and he fell backwards. Referee didn't flinch. No penalty as King gets back to his feet.
Jesus Navas plays one inside to Rodrigo and he's offside. Game starting to settle down a bit now but still those early jitters for both sides.
Very busy start for Spain, and Norway's defense. Oyarzabal being a nuisance down the left. He fires a cross into the box and Jarstein parries. Cleared in the end.
We are underway!
We are almost ready for action! Ramos, as you might expect, is the talk of the town befor kick-off. 168 caps really is spectacular and he doesn't even seem to be slowing down.
Significant too that Kepa starts again. De Gea started against Faroe Islands but it feels like the Chelsea keeper is the number one now. He started four in a row before the Faroe Islands game and starts again tonight.
No team has more players in the squad than Villarreal. But only one of them starts. It's Raul Albiol who partners Sergio Ramos at the back.
Norway XI: Jarstein, Elabdellaoui, Ajer, Nordveit, Aleesami, Henriksen, Berge, Selnaes, Johansen, Odegaard, King.
Another player to keep an eye on tonight is this man. He has been unstoppable this season with 18 goals (not a typo) in 11 games. He has a lot to owe to Ole Gunner Solskjaer for his rise.
Spain XI: Kepa, Navas, Albiol, Ramos, Bernat, Fabián, Busquets, Saúl, Oyarzabal, Rodrigo, Ceballos
He might be too busy defending this guy though! Odegaard has been a revelation this season. And he spoke to AS ahead of the game and spoke about everything from Real Madrid, to Norway and Real Sociedad.
Who would bet against Ramos, given his ability to steal the show, scoring a late winner tonight?
Ramos will win his 168th cap tonight.
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) are eager to put on a fitting celebration of Ramos' historic haul, with RFEF president Luis Rubiales keen on the idea of bringing together all of La Roja's centurions for a tribute event in the player's honour. "It's very hard to get them all in the same place at the same time," an RFEF source told AS, but the governing body are working hard to find a suitable a date.
