Real Madrid Hazard is far from Chelsea Hazard
The Belgian is nowhere near the player he was at Chelsea last season but he is inching closer by the game to that version of himself.
Eden Hazard is progressing just fine but he is still not standing out at Real Madrid. Against Leganés he continued on his path back to being the man Real Madrid thought they bought in the summer. He was more dynamic and involved than in other games and attempted more dribbles (9) than in any other game until now and he completed seven, which was another high. He was also fouled a season-high seven times and won a penalty too. The Belgian is still not making the difference though: this season, he is scoring, assisting and shooting less than in his final season at Chelsea. He is trying and completing less dribbles and crossing less too.

It's in front of goal where Hazard is the most unrecognizable from his previous versions. "He looks better," said Zidane after the Leganés game. "What's he's missing is scoring with a bit more regularity." He has onlys scored one and in the same amount of games last year, he had seven.
Hazard's injured changed his path
Hazard is a player who improved with games and always has been this type of player, has suffered from the time he missed with an injury at the start of the year. On 16 August, he injured his thigh and missed games against Celta, Valladolid and Villarreal. He returned on 14 September against Levante and since then has been undergoing a sort of preseason while the rest of the squad have been at maximum speed for a while now.
We are starting to see an improved Hazard from the one at the start of the season. in the last three games, he has scored a goal, given an assist and forced a penalty all the while winning 60% of his individual battles (his average was 49%). The attacker's is fine-tuning but he is sitll far from the player who pulled Chelsea to a Europa League title last year and won the final for them against Arsenal with an epic final performance. On Saturday against Betis, he will take one step closer to becoming that player.
