Almost time to go...
It's just about time to get the draw for the second round underway.
How and where to watch...?
By the way, we've prepared a guide on how you can watch the Copa del Rey draw, should you be wondering how you can tune in to it.
How will the second-round draw work?
The Segunda B and Tercera sides will each be paired with a club from Primera or Segunda, with the lower-league side given home advantage in the single-match tie. (As of this season, remember, only the semi-finals will be played over two legs.)
Conveniently for today's drawmasters, the Segunda B/Tercera and Primera/Segunda teams will be divided into two evenly-split groups, as exactly 28 sides in each made it through to the second round.
Jaén claim first-round Alavés scalp
Just the one Primera División failed to make it through to the second stage, as Tercera outfit Real Jaén claimed the first-round headlines by inflicting a giant-killing on Alavés - and beating them handsomely, too: 3-1 at the Nuevo Estadio La Victoria.

Yeclano join Copa after bye
Another team to have benefited from a bye in this season's Copa is Segunda B side Yeclano Deportivo.
They join the competition at the second-round stage after being waved through the opening phase, because Reus' expulsion over their financial problems meant there was an odd number of teams in the hat.
Still no Real, Barça, Atleti or Valencia
Four clubs who won't be in this draw are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Atlético Madrid, who have all been given a bye until the third round.
That's because they'll be playing in the revamped, four-team Spanish Super Cup at the same time as the Copa del Rey second round.
You'll find more information on the new Super Cup, which is to be held in Saudi Arabia for the next three years, right here.
Two first-round ties still to be played
I say near completion because we in fact still have two first-round ties to resolve, after Pontevedra vs Ibiza and Mérida vs La Nucía were postponed until 8 January due to bad weather.
So there'll actually be 58, rather than 56, teams in today's hat as we learn the 28 second-round ties to be played on the weekend of 11 and 12 January.
Copa del Rey draw: afternoon all
Good afternoon!
We'll shortly be finding out who'll be playing who in the second round of the 2019/20 Copa del Rey, following the (near) completion of the opening phase yesterday evening.
The draw, to be held at the Spanish Football Federation headquarters on the outskirts of Madrid, is scheduled to get underway in half an hour's time, at 13:00 CET.
