Vinicius: "Piqué said I was crazy - and he was right!"
In an interview on his Youtube channel, the Real Madrid forward confessed that he blamed the wrong Barcelona player for stamping on him in El Clásico.
We all make mistakes. In an interview posted on his Youtube channel, Real Madrid's Vinicius admitted losing his temper with Gerard Piqué during El Clásico only to realise that he'd pointed the finger at the wrong player...
“’Are you crazy, or what?’ The TV showed a discussion between me and Piqué in El Clásico,” The Real Madrid player explained.
What was it all about?
“I thought he’d stamped on me. But afterwards, I watched the game again and it wasn’t him, it was Arthur. That’s why he asked me if I was mad! (laughs)”.
It’s always nice to be able to explain what happened out on the pitch….
“Yes, it’s fine. It’s no big deal. I thought he had stepped on me, I saw the replay and it was Arthur. These things happen in matches. It’s how heated things get in El Clásico. Everyone wants to win”.
