White House recommends limited grocery shopping

Medical Experts working at the White House are saying this is the moment to not be going to the grocery store in order to slow down the spread around the country.

White House recommends limited grocery shopping

The next two weeks will be critical for saving lives in the United States, and according to one White House coronavirus task force member, limiting your trips to the grocery store and pharmacy could help.

Grocery stores are amongst the few businesses that remained open throughout this pandemic but since the number of cases keep increasing, officials are warning the people that the spread continues and making those trips is making it harder to contain the Covid-19.

Dr. Deborah Birx from the White House said in Saturday's news conference, which included President Donald Trump, Dr. Anthony Fauci and Vice President Mike Pence, the following:

The next two weeks are extraordinarily important. This is the moment to do everything that you can on the president's guidelines. This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store and not be going to the pharmacy – but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe.”

She also spoke in her statements on Saturday that avoiding trips to the grocery store and pharmacy over these next two weeks could really help flatten the curve of the coronavirus.

On the other hand president Donald Trump also backed Birx by saying that these next two weeks are going to be crucial to stop the spread of Covid-19. If people don’t follow the orders we are giving them the number of cases and deaths are going to increase.

While New York, New Jersey and Louisiana are seeing the worst of the coronavirus cases and deaths, the White House is looking elsewhere to see where the virus could have the biggest impacts next — Texas. is one of those places, according to multiple medical experts and epidemiologists.
