Nigeria won over football fans all over the world at 2018 World Cup Russia and were unlucky not to progress from their group at the tournament. Millions of Super Eagles shirts were sold throughout that World Cup, with shops in London selling out in hours. This week, the BBC asked readers to vote for the most iconic football shirts in history and that 2018 Nigeria shirt was among the favourites with fans, ending in fifth place. Brazil's Mexico 70 shirt, as worn by Pele and Co. came in at No.1.

Nigeria's oil hub quarantines 22 Exxon Mobil workers
Nigeria's Rivers State has quarantined 22 Exxon Mobil Corp. employees for violating an order introduced last month restricting movement into the state to curb the spread of the coronavirus, its governor said on Friday.
River State's capital Port Harcourt is the hub of the oil industry in Africa's biggest producer of crude. "Security agencies arrested 22 staff of Exxon Mobil who came into the state from neighbouring Akwa Ibom State in violation of the extant executive order restricting movement into the state,"
Governor Nyesom Wike said. "We do not know the coronavirus status of these individuals."

Face masks to be made compulsory in Abuja markets and shopping centres
Abuja Markets Management Ltd, who run several markets and shopping precincts in the Nigerian capital will be requesting that all stall holders, market workers and staff wear protective face masks in a new initiative to combat the spread of Covid-19 in the country. AMML will carry out the procedure on advice from the Presidential Task Force, who are trying to crack down on parts of the capital where social distancing is not possible or difficult to apply. Customers will also be required to wear face masks - even hand-made masks, when shopping at Abuja's main markets. The city's markets - Wuse, Garki Model Market, Kaura and Kado Fish Markets and Maitama Farmers Market will be open at specific times and on designated days but only food and essential items will be available.

China denies Covid-19 cover-up accusations
China has refuted cover-up claims over its coronavirus figures after Wuhan, the city where the Covid-19 pandemic began, suddenly increased its death toll by 50% to 3,869 on Friday.
“There has never been any concealment, and we'll never allow any concealment,” foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said.
Wuhan added a further 1,290 deaths to its previous official total of 2,579 on Friday, with state broadcaster CGTN reporting that shortages in hospital capacity and staff “resulted in delayed reporting of confirmed cases and some failures to count patients accurately.”
