India Covid-19 update: 02:00 IST on Monday 22 June (22:30 CEST Sunday 21 June) 

According to the latest figures published by Johns Hopkins University8,857,137 cases have been detected worldwide, with 465,826 deaths and 4,393,255 people have recovered.

In India, there have been 410,451 cases confirmed, 13,254 people have died and 227,728 people have recovered from the virus.

PM says yoga can help beat Covid-19

Gujarat reaches new daily record in coronavirus cases

The State of Gujarat has registered a record 580 cases in last 24-hour period, bringing its total to 27,317. The number of deaths has risen by 25 to 1,664.

Hetero receives approval for drug for coronavirus treatment

The Drug Controller-General of India has approved a generic version of Remdesivir distributed by Hetero for the treatment of coronavirus in the country.

“Backed by strong backward integration capabilities, we can ensure that the product is immediately made available to patients across the country. We are prepared for ensuring enough stocks required to cater to the present needs," said Chairman of Hetero Group of Companies, B. Partha Saradhi Reddy, on Sunday.

Pharmaceutical company Hetero has received manufacturing and marketing approval from the Drug Controller General of India to launch the antiviral Remdesivir for the treatment of Covid-19 patients in India, the company said in a statement on Sunday.

Vision for football development in India is encouraging

India Under-17s hcoach Shuvendu Panda has worked in various different roles in youth football. He's been with the All India Football Federation's (AIFF) youth set up ever since 2016 and is a highly-qualified youth coach. He says that the outlook for youth football in India is looking very prositive.
