Croatian league witnesses one of the cheekiest penalties you'll ever see

Trailing 1-0 to Cibalia deep into time added on, Croatia Zmijavci earned a late, late point in Croatia’s second division on Sunday when Tomislav Mrkonjic netted a penalty in supremely cheeky fashion.

After stepping up to place the ball on the spot, Mrkonjic tied and retied his shoelaces, adjusted and readjusted his socks… and as Cibalia’s Karlo Slukic waited for him to complete his faffing and walk back into position to begin his run-up, the attacker suddenly stood bolt upright and passed the ball into the net past the bemused, surprised goalkeeper.
