José Mourinho responded to a question about Pep Guardiola's contract extension and whether he thought it had anything to do with the imminent arrival of Leo Messi at the Etihad during a press conference ahead of his side's game against Manchester City. 

"I have no idea," the Portuguese said. "Nobody put a gun to Pep's head so I guess he is happy there and I'm happy for him." 

Mourinho's Tottenham will seek to move to the top of the Premier League, depending on results elsewhere, when they host City on Saturday.
