On Monday 14 December the footballing world's attention was drawn to Nyon in Switzerland where the UEFA Champions League draw for the Round of 16 was made. By the time all the balls were out of the pots some of us were already wishing away the next couple of months to fast-forward ourselves to the action that lies ahead.
