Barcelona vs Real Sociedad

Frenkie De Jong gets Barcelona's winner against Real Sociedad

Barça came back from a goal down in the first half against Real Sociedad, thanks to goals from Jordi Alba and Frenkie De Jong

Barcelona went in front 2-1 in the 43rd minute of the first half of their LaLiga match against Real Sociedad at the Camp Nou, when De Jong appeared in the middle of the box to fire home from Alba's assist with the visitor's defence napping. That goal would prove to be the winner for Barça.

De Jong goal given by VAR

De Jong's goal was initially called offside, but a quick VAR review overturned that decision with the Barcelona midfielder clearly onside.

Barcelona thus managed to turn the match around in the first 45, having fallen behind after 27 minutes to a goal from Willian José who arrived at the back post to slot home Portu's neat cross. The visitor's lead didn't last long though, Alba levelling the match just three minutes later with a curling shot into the top corner with the Real Sociedad defence at sixes and sevens.
