Media reports suggest that a source at Egyptian club Zamalek revealed that striker Mostafa Mohamed received a tax-free hundred million-pound offer from another club for a two-year contract.

Zamalek received an offer from French side Saint-Étienne who showed their interest in signing the player for 3.5 million Euros but the Egyptian outfit refused to let go of the marksman preferring to delay that step for after the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In response to that, the Egyptian national team striker has stopped going to the team's training to express his strong desire to play in Europe and place some pressure on Zamalek's board. The promising forward has also received offers from Turkish clubs including Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.

Some former Zamalek players including Ahmed Eid Abdelmalek held conversations with Mohamed to convince him of staying until he gets a better offer after the Olympics but it seems that the 23-year-old is completely possessed by the idea of playing in Europe.

Zamalek's board was supposed to meet with the player on Saturday to make a final decision on his potential departure.
