The Al-Ahly winger became the first Egyptian to score in the tournament with two different teams, following in the footsteps of some of the game's great players.

Al-Ahly's Hussein Al Shahat led his team to their first victory in FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar over Qatari Al Duhail scoring the game's only goal with a strike from outside the box to secure a spot for the African Champions in the semi-finals.

With that goal, Al Shahat joined the list of great players who scored in the Club World Cup for two different clubs as he managed to score in the 2018 edition against Espérance Sportive de Tunis when he was playing for Emirati Al Ain.

Five players have done what Al Shahat has achieved, including Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo who scored for Manchester United against Japan's Gamba Osaka in 2008 before netting in the 2017 edition against Mexican Club America when he was playing for Real Madrid.

Brazilian ace Ronaldinho Gaucho also netted in two different kits in the tournament as he scored for Barcelona against Club America in 2006 before returning to the tournament with Atlético Mineiro in 2013 when he found the net against Raja Casablanca.

The list comprises as well Japanese defender Tsukasa Shiotani who scored for Al Ain in 2018 six years after he scored for his former team Sanfrecce Hiroshima, along with the Argentine Neri Cardozo who scored for Boca Juniors and C.F. Monterrey in 2007 and 2013 respectively.

The fifth player to have scored in the competition in two different colors is Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke who scored for the Reds in the year 2000 against Mexican Necaxa before moving to Australian FC Sydney where he scored against Deportivo Saprissa in the 2006 edition.
