USWNT star Alex Morgan open to a third stint playing in Europe
United States striker Alex Morgan has admitted that she wouldn't rule out a third stint of playing football in Europe.
After her short five-game spell with Tottenham that ended before Christmas, USWNT star Alex Morgan has said that she would not rule a third stint playing in Europe.
Morgan surprised the footballing world when she decided to join Spurs in September from Orlando Pride in a bid to regain fitness and improve her chances of gaining her spot on the USWNT for the Olympics.
But after just three months, she decided to head back stateside ahead of the start of the National Women’s Super League in May.
Morgan’s short time at Spurs was her second stint in European football after she , spent part of the 2016-17 season in France with Lyon. And the USWNT star has admitted that she would be open to a third return to Europe if the right opportunity arises.
