Jordan Siebatcheu wins the Swiss league title with Young Boys

Jordan Siebatcheu committed to the United States men’s national team earlier this year after having a breakout season with Young Boys. The 24 year striker scored 10 goals and gave 4 assists in 27 league appearances so far this season. On Sunday Young Boys defeated Lugano 3-0 and sealed their fourth consecutive Swiss Super League title.

There are still 7 games left of the regular season, but with this result they secured the league title and booked their ticket to the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. Young Boys have a total of 15 league titles in their history and Jordan Siebatcheu was fundamental for the team to win this year's trophy.

Second title for the USMNT in one weekend

Jordan Siebatcheu went 66 minutes to help his team win on Sunday, but it was Jean-Pierre Nsame who scored a hat-trick at the Wankdorf stadium to give Young Boys the three points. With this trophy, Siebatcheu became the second American abroad to win a title with Sergiño Dest winning the Copa Del Rey with FC Barcelona on Saturday.

The 24-year-old made his international debut with the United States men’s national team earlier this year. Jordan Siebatcheu played his first game for the USMNT against Jamaica coming in as a substitute on 25 March. The United States would win 4-1 and then played his second game in the 2-1 victory against Northern Ireland in the March FIFA international break.
