When the season started, and the odds for a possible playoff run were not favorable to the knicks. The New York City franchise had not been to the postseason since 2013 when they made it to the second round before being eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in six games.

Julius Randle has been spectacular for the Knicks this season. The power forward has become a prolific three-point shooter and is averaging a career-high of 24 points. In March, he went to his first All-Star Game, and later this year, he should add Most Improved Player and an All-NBA appearance to his list of accolades.

Season already won

For the Knicks, the season is already won regardless of what happens in the postseason. Experts had the NYC franchise finishing fourth in the bottom of the league at the start of the season. However, they have the home-court advantage after beating the Celtics and securing the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Coach Tom Thibodeau has created an excellent team with a great defense. They rank fourth in the league, which is a cumbersome growth from last season. They finish twenty-three last season.

It's been eight long years for the Knicks. Over the last decade, they've suffered many controversies, from internal fights between then-manager Phil Jackson and team star Carmelo Anthony to being ridiculed by fans when Kevin Durant signed with the Nets instead of New York.

Chances of winning

The Knicks are not expected to win the NBA championship this year, but they will indeed cause a lot of pain for better-seeded teams.
