Cavani gets a yellow. McTominay is on the ground.. it's all happening. De Gea has run out to appeal something. Replays are showing an off the ball incident with McTominay and Alcácer, but there is nothing really in it.
Villarreal are looking comfortable in extra-time.
United are about to make a double change.
Dan James is getting warmed up. Rashford isn't looking too happy.
Rulli collects a United cross. Rashford went for it and now it down, looks to be injured.
Villarreal had the better chances in the first half of extra-time. Moreno and Alcácer both with chances. United are looking tired now but Ole has more changes to make if he wants. 1-1
Just 15 minutes away from penalties in Poland.
We're back underway!
Half-time in extra-time: Villarreal 1-1 Manchester United
De Gea slaps Parejo's free-kick out for a goalkick. The Villarreal fans in the ground, 2,000 of them, are really making noise now.
Half chance for Alcacer! Moreno slips him through but sends his first-time shot over the bar.
OFF Greenwood
ON Fred
In case you're only joining now, it's 1-1 and we are in extra-time in Gdansk.
ALBERTO MORENO!
The left-back blasts his effort high and wide... Emery can't believe his eyes.
Fred is getting ready to come in for Manchester United.
Villarreal have played 56 games this season and this is the biggest one in their history.
Villarreal break down Bruno sprinting through the middle. Bruno and Greenwood exchange words. Their body language there doesn't look great.
Bruno Fernandes was screaming "keep the ball, keep the ball" to his teammates during the break.
United get us underway in extra-time.
FT: Villarreal 1-1 Manchester United - we're heading for extra-time!
PAU TORRES!!
So, so close, he buries his effort from the edge of the box, and it flies past De Gea's right-hand post.
Free-kick for Villarreal and they will be happy to slow it right down now..
There will be three minutes of added-on time!
Are we heading for extra-time?

Parejo hits the resulting free-kick straight into De Gea's hands.
Yellow for Bailly for a foul on Alcácer.
RASHFORD!
Quick feet from Rashford, before he fires a 20-yard effort wide of the near post. Foyth has done a job on the forward tonight.
Double change

Villarreal get away with one there!

Emery's UEL stats
Via - SofaScore
Villarreal clear Shaw's free-kick from out of the left.
Really well-worked play by United, involving Bruno, Pogba and Greenwood leads to McTominay shooting from the edge of the box. An organised Villarreal block the effort and breathe again. Pau Torres and Albiol are organising everything from the back. 1-1
United have found it tough going against the Yellow Submarine in the past. In fact, the Red Devils have faced Villarreal more often without scoring than any other side in their history, with each of their previous four meetings ending 0-0.
It only took United 10 minutes to get their second half equaliser. Solskjaer knows all about European comebacks...
Emery takes off a striker for a midfielder.
Villarreal change
OFF Bacca
ON Coquelin
Luke Shaw’s corner is headed away to Fernandes whose volley is blocked and deflected to Cavani, who rolls it into the empty net. Rulli had already dived to save Bruno's effort.
Villarreal 1-1 Manchester United
The goal stands!
The goal is being checked...
Capoue picks up the first yellow of the game for pulling down Bruno Fernandes.
There's a VAR check for a United penalty. VAR says no. I've seen them given. Pedraza is high on Greenwood.
Villarreal are playing with two extremely tight lines on the edge of their box. They'll be happy to soak up pressure for the next 40 minutes, which will require serious concentration and focus.
While Emery is chasing history of his own, Villarreal are hoping to become the 10th Spanish team in a row to defeat an English side in a European final - a run that includes United losing twice to Barcelona in the Champions League.
Foul from Bailly on Bacca, there isn't a whole lot in it but free-kick to the LaLiga side and it's that man Parejo again.
Villarreal get us underway for the second half! They lead 1-0.
The teams are on their way out for the second half.
Manchester United's 2020/21 stats
HT: Villarreal 1-0 Manchester United
It's already got the feel of a backs to the wall approach and we're still in the first half.
There will be two minutes of added-on time.
United have kept the ball for at least two minutes but Villarreal stand tall and breakaway through Yeremy. He gets to the byline, there's nobody in the box. Shaw closes him down and it should be a corner or even and handball. However, the decision is made and it's a goalkick for Manchester United.
Villarreal are now sitting very deep in their own half as United knock it from left to right. Capoue wins the ball from Rashford in the corner. Trigueros picks out Moreno and Villarreal work it up the pitch again.
Emery and Solskjaer have faced off twice before in the Premier League, when the Spaniard was at Arsenal. The Gunners won 2-0 at Emirates Stadium in March 2019, ending Solskjaer's unbeaten league start at United, before a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in September of that year.
However, it was Solskjaer who came out on top when they met in a knockout fixture, United triumphing 3-1 in north London in an FA Cup tie in January 2019.
Could that be the goal that kickstarts United? They need a reaction, preferably before the break.
Villarreal 1-0 Manchester United
Solskjaer is absolutely fuming with Lindelof on the sideline.
Moreno has been on fire this season.
12 games in the Europa League: 7 goals, 4 assists
Gerard Moreno fires home from close range to give Villarreal the lead in Gdansk. It's a superb Parejo free-kick to the back post, goes over the United defence and their man of the season, Gerard Moreno, is at the back stick to poke home.
Yeremy Pino runs at the United defence, some tricky feet earns him space before unleashing a 25-yard effort wide of De Gea's post. Emery will be pleased with his side's improvement.
RASHFORD!
Decent strike from the England forward, it doesn't really threaten Rulli, who gets down to the low strike nice and early.
Yeremy strikes!
A 25-yard effort from Yeremy flies off McTominay and goes over for a corner. Parejo's resulting corner is defended. Bacca crosses the loose ball to Pau Torres. The Spanish defender, still up from Parejo's corner heads over De Gea's bar.
Danger comes from both angles for Villarreal. Albiol defends Wan-Bissaka's cross, only for it to fall to Shaw, who drives a left-footed effort across the box. United on the front foot. Villarreal have still failed to really threaten.
Unai Emery has lifted this trophy three years in a row from 2014 to 2016 and could become the first coach to win either the UEFA Cup or Europa League four times.
Parejo whips his corner to the back post, it lands on Trigueros foot, he's all alone at the back post. Trigueros can't get a full connection on it. Top marks for Parejo's corner - straight off the training ground that one. 0-0
Villarreal 2020/21 stats
Good news for Villarreal, Foyth is back on the pitch.
Villarreal manage to clear the corner, while Foyth gets a bandage on his head and changes his shirt that caught some blood from the clash with Pogba.
Play continues, Greenwood flies down the right wing and earns a corner for Manchester United. Villarreal are down to 10 men.
Mario Gaspar is warming up for Villarreal, time will tell if Foyth is going to be replaced at right-back.
Juan Foyth is down for Villarreal after a challenge with Pogba, one that is totally accidental but he gets hit in the head, sending Emery into even more activity on the touchline.
McTominay strikes!
Rashford does well in the left channel, before picking out McTominay on the edge of the box. The Scotsman, in plenty of space, lines one up. It heads left of Rulli's right-hand post. 0-0
Bailly starts at right centre-back tonight with Lindelof. Harry Maguire has been ruled out for United.
Lindelof pings a cross-field ball in the direction of Rashford. It flies over the winger's head. Villarreal throw-in now. It has been all United so far.
This is a massive night for Pau Torres. When he was born in 1997, Villarreal had never played in Spain's top flight. Tonight he plays in a Europa League final with the club he supports.
United are setting out with their classic 4-2-3-1. Cavani is leading the line and will be carefully watched by Albiol & Torres.
Villarreal are playing from right to left as we watch it.
We're underway!
Manchester United get us underway
This is also a momentous occasion for Villarreal: a first European final of any kind against a team who have been in these matches seven times previously. However, the Spaniards boast experience in coach Unai Emery, who won this trophy on three occasions while in charge of Sevilla.
It's time for the Europa League anthem!

We're just 10 minutes away from kick-off!
Greenwood's first final
Tonight sees Mason Greenwood make his first career appearance in a final. Should he score, he would become only the second English teenager to do so in a major European final, the first being Brian Kidd, who netted on his 19th birthday when United beat Benfica in the 1968 European Cup final.
Vila-real, home of Villarreal, is a town of 50,000 people. Tonight would be an incredible achievement for a club that only entered LaLiga for the first time in 1998.
Europa League final: Solskjaer pitted against UEL king Emery
For the first time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United are preparing for a final.
The Europa League might not be top of the agenda for Solskjaer's United ambitions but, after four semi-final defeats as manager in three different competitions, he will be delighted to have a shot at what could be the Red Devils' first trophy since they won this competition in 2017.
Of course, this is also a momentous occasion for Villarreal: a first European final of any kind against a team who have been in these matches seven times previously. However, the Spaniards boast experience in coach Unai Emery, who won this trophy on three occasions while in charge of Sevilla.

Man Utd star Fernandes 'honoured' by Cantona comparisons
Manchester United star Bruno Fernades is "honoured" to be compared to one of the club's greatest ever players, Eric Cantona.
Bruno Fernandes says comparisons with Manchester United icon Eric Cantona motivate him to become even better.
The Portugal international has enjoyed a sensational season for the Red Devils, scoring 28 goals and making 18 assists across all competitions.
Eighteen of his goals and 12 of the assists came in 37 Premier League appearances as United secured second place and consecutive top-four finishes for the first time since 2013.
Fernandes' form helped him win United's Player of the Year award for a second straight season, the midfielder receiving an overwhelming 63 per cent of the votes cast by supporters.
Fernandes followed in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Roy Keane and David de Gea to become only the fifth player in United history to win the club's annual award in consecutive campaigns.

Emery vs Solskjaer: Europa League 2020/21 stats
Trouble in Poland ahead of final
Reuters - A group of Manchester United fans visiting Gdansk for the Europa League final were attacked on a restaurant terrace late on Tuesday, Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper reported, citing local police.
Local mayor Aleksandra Dulkiewicz condemned the attack on a group of between 20 and 30 fans, saying in a statement posted on Facebook that Gdansk was an open city with no place for violence.
"Dear Manchester United and Villareal fans, all guests who came to Gdansk – you are always appreciated here and we cordially welcome you to our city," she added.
Witnesses said the attackers were heard shouting the name of local football club Lechia. Police said they were analysing video footage and expected to make arrests.
Up to 9,500 fans will be allowed into the Gdansk Stadium for the final on Wednesday, with at least 2,000 supporters flying in from both Spain and Britain.
Europa League 2020/21: How much prize money the winner will receive
Manchester United face the Villarreal in Gdansk on Wednesday as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aims to get his hands on his first piece of silverware with the English giants.
Unai Emery will be quietly confident of taking the LaLiga side to European glory at their first attempt. Emery is aiming to become the first coach to win the UEFA Cup or Europa League four times.
Four draws between Manchester United and Villarreal
All four games between the sides have ended 0-0, making Villarreal the opponents United have faced most in their history without ever scoring.
The Premier League club will be wary of Spanish teams' recent records against English opposition in finals, with the past nine meetings - since Liverpool beat Basque side Alavés 5-4 in the 2000/01 UEFA Cup - seeing the LaLiga side come out on top.
Villarreal vs Manchester United: times, TV & how to watch online
Villarreal and Manchester United will battle it out in the northern Polish city of Gdansk on Wednesday with the objective of lifting the Europa League trophy in the final of the continental competition.

Another “match” will be also played on the bench, as Unai Emery will look for his fourth Europa League title, while Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will search for his first piece of silverware since assuming office.
