The idea is that the Argentine superstar will appear in front of a packed Parc des Princes after the news that fans could return en masse for the new season.

PSG began the season with a 2-1 away win over Troyes and follow that up with games against Strasbourg (at home), then trips to Brest and Stade de Reims (full Ligue 1 fixture list). Clermont, therefore, are potentially his first victims, and the newly promoted side will be hoping to continue there positive arrival in games leading up to the showpiece match. A stunning 2-0 victory over Bordeaux in Game 1 got the club that was founded just 31 years ago off to the perfect start to their first campaign in the French top flight.

With everything set in Paris, 12 September is likely to see the party truly begin in Paris, and the stadium will be rocking. It will be one of the events of the last decade and a historic moment for French football.
