Haaland shines in victory over Frankfurt
Borussia Dortmund’s 5-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday wouldn’t have been possible without Erling Haaland’s impressive goals and assists.
Striker Erling Haaland scored two goals and set up three as Dortmund defeated Frankfurt in the Bundesliga season opener.

After 23 minutes, Haaland passed to Dortmund captain Marco Reus, who scored the first goal of the night and his 100th league goal for the club. Felix Passlack kept up the momentum, scoring only four minutes later. Norweigan Thorgan Hazard and Giovanni Reyna both scored with Haaland’s assists, and Haaland’s own two put the team ahead for the eventual 5-2 win.
This win makes Dortmund’s eighth in a row in Germany’s top flight. Haaland has 62 goals in 61 appearances with Dortmund.
