Paris Saint-Germain started the much-anticipated star trio for the first time against Club Brugge in the Champions League Group A game in Belgium. Unfortunately for them, the team failed to deliver as Club Brugge had full value for a point in the 1-1 game.

'MNM' fails to impress

Kylian Mbappé set up the opening goal for Ander Herrera, but the lead did not last long. 12 minutes later, the Belgian team had tied the game. Lionel Messi came close to a goal for PSG when he curled the ball around Simon Mignolet, but it bounced off the bar and came right back. Mbappé left the game in the second half with a possible achilles injury, and Neymar didn’t do much worth talking about.

Though talented, the trio may not be as threatening as previously anticipated. PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettino, however, is not too concerned about the three. “The problem today wasn’t our attackers. We just had to be more solid in both penalty areas but I’m happy with the defensive performance of our attackers today.”
