Ahead of the NBA’s historic 75th anniversary, the 2021-22 pre-season gets underway this Sunday, 3 October with a full-packed schedule of fixtures for basketball fans to enjoy before the real action begins on 19 October.

The pre-season tips off with a stellar matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers, with the East Coast Big 3, Durant, Harden and Irving, meeting their West Coast counterparts, LeBron, Davis and Westbrook, at L.A.’s Staples Center, in the only game on Sunday, 3 October.

Monday (4 October) sees Orlando Magic take on the Boston Celtics, and Golden State Warriors travel to Portland to face the Trailblazers, in two of nine fixtures on the second day, while on Tuesday (5 October) reigning champions the Milwaukee Bucks get their preseason underway at the Memphis Grizzlies.

The pre-season closes on Friday, 15 October with eight fixtures, including the Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks @ Milwaukee Bucks, and Portland Trail Blazers @ Golden State Warriors.

Three days later (19 October), the 2021-22 NBA season starts with the mouthwatering clash between Harden’s Nets and Gianni’s Bucks (7.30pm ET), as the Milwaukee franchise start their quest to retain their title in the toughest way possible. That match will be followed by another intriguing clash between the Warriors and Lakers, which tips off two and half hours later at 10.30pm ET. Both will be shown live on TNT.
