Just a few days ago, Mo Salah was in Madrid, helping Liverpool defeat Atlético and win the title as the club's leading goalscorer in the Champion's League. At the same time, he was also in London...in the form of wax.

Salah an international superstar

At Madame Tussauds in London, a wax figure of Salah stands in Lodon's Awards Party zone, fingers in the air as if he's celebrating a goal. Rather than wearing a Liverpool kit, Salah's wax figure is wearing the cream suit that he wore on the front page of GQ Middle East. "We really wanted to mark his international superstar status and he feels right at home in our Awards Party zone," said Tim Waters, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London.

The figure looks eerily similar to the real Salah, and standing next to each other, it's difficult to tell which is the real one. Of course, the first thing the real Salah wanted to know was, "does he have abs or not?". The answer remains unknown.

“It’s been an amazing experience working with the artists at Madame Tussauds London to create my first ever wax figure,” Salah said.

From today, Friday, October 22, the wax figure will be standing with the likes of Dwayne Johnson, David Beckham, and the Duchess of Cambridge. It's no wonder that he stands among such well-known superstars. Salah is on a record nine-game scoring run for Liverpool and has 137 goals in 214 matches with the club.
