The fallout continues for the former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver after a deadly car crash.

Former Raiders' Henry Ruggs is in even more trouble

Having now been released by the Las Vegas Raiders, receiver Henry Ruggs III is set to face two additional felony charges as well as a misdemeanor, after he was involved in a tragic car crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The accident left a 23-year-old woman and her dog dead, while Ruggs himself and his girlfriend were also injured.

In the initial aftermath Ruggs was charged with two felonies: driving under the influence resulting in death and reckless driving after prosecutors indicated he was driving at 156 mph (251 kmh) and had a blood alcohol level that was more than twice the legal limit allowed in the state of Nevada.

Ruggs to face two more charges

Prosecutors have now stated their intention to charge Ruggs with additional felony counts of DUI and reckless driving due to the injuries suffered by his passenger - girlfriend and mother of his child - Kiara Je'nai Kilgo-Washington. He also faces a misdemeanor charge for possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. It is understood that a loaded gun was found in Ruggs' car at the scene.

What happened and where is Ruggs now?.

As reported here on AS English earlier in the week, Ruggs' Chevrolet Corvette rammed into the back of Tina Tintor's Toyota Rav4, causing the SUV to immediately catch fire. Tragically Tintor along with her dog perished as a result. Ruggs and his girlfriend suffered various injuries, but none were deemed to be life threatening. After being released from University Medical Center he was then booked into Clark County jail. Ruggs was later released on $150,000 bail and is currently being monitored electronically after turning over his passport. If convicted Ruggs could face a maximum of 46 years in prison.
